Digital Stories by the Tree of Life project

In the spring of 2007 seven members from the Tree of Life project met up for a week to make their own digital stories. The group have been supporting each other into researching their family histories. The group meet regularly at St Barnabas Church and are open to new members. They have researched their family trees, using the archives on websites and at the records offices, and have been looking through their personal collections of photos.

During the workshop all the members recorded a story related to their own research. They then added pictures to illustrate the story. Click on the links to watch each of the stories.

KWMC runs digital stories workshops with people of all ages. Digital stories are generally spoken word stories illustrated with photos, drawings, animations, and video.

You do not need any experience with media to create a story, as during the workshop you will learn all the skills necessary. Some people show their stories on DVD while others share them on the KWMC website.
