4NINE Records to open stage at Bris Fest 2012
We are delighted that KWMC's 4NINE Records are opening a stage at Bris Fest this year!
More than 10 selected artists will play on the BBC Introducing Bristol stage and some of the artists involved in the 4NINE label will open the stage at 12pm on Saturday 22nd September. Their performance will showcase new music and collaborations fusing hip-hop, grime and drum and bass.
Makala Cheung, one of the artists performing at Brisfest, said: "We are proud to be opening the BBC Introducing Stage at this year's Brisfest. We're looking forward to performing together and being part of an event that showcases the creativity and musical talent in our city."
In celebration of some of the community music projects in Bristol, BBC Introducing has made a documentary on the power of music as a tool for personal development.
Listen in to BBC Radio Bristol on Tuesday 5th June, 6pm, to hear the documentary, featuring contributions from KWMC and 4NINE Records. Check out their promotional video.
