Patrycja Cudak

“Who are you?”

Patrycja Cudak was artist in residence from Summer 2010 until February 2011, when she developed 'Who are you?', an immersive, interactive video installation exploring how our physical proximity to someone can change our relationship to them. The installation involves a distance triggered projection, motion sensors, music and dance performance and a video.

Visit the website for Patrycja's installation and find out more about the project, meet the characters and read feedback from viewers and the press: www.whoareyou.site90.net

Originally from Poland and now teaching at UWE, Patrycja is a digital artist who specialises in interactive video. In addition to her KWMC residency, she is also researching for her practice based M.A., exploring social psychology and different mental disorders.

In October 2010 Patrycja gave a talk at KWMC, sharing her practice, displaying her work in progress and explaining what has influenced her.

"Have you ever gone to an art gallery and felt tempted to touch some shiny pieces? Have you ever wished to change a book narrative? Have you ever desired to walk into the world shown on a cinema screen? That's why I like interactivity so much..."

Visit Patrycja's website and blog.
