Michelle Wren

Michelle was artist in residence at KWMC from Spring 2010 until February 2011. 2 pieces from Peep Show, a work-in-progress installation were displayed at KWMC at the end of her residency.

She comes from St Helens (just outside Liverpool) and has been living in Bristol for two and a half years. Traditionally, her artwork takes the form of 3D photo-montages which tell people’s stories. She often combines and manipulates images in Photoshop and presents them in the style of a diorama.

In 2006 Michelle was commissioned to produce work for the Liverpool Biennial. Part of this piece featured on the cover of AN Magazine, which led to a commission from the FACT Centre in Liverpool in 2007. Over the last few years, Michelle has run art workshops in Bristol and designed sets and props for performances at the Invisible Circus.
