Since the start of the Carbon Makeover project in September, four community campaigns have started up to tackle climate change in Knowle West.

Project Agricola
A market stall at the Mede Centre in Inns Court, selling a wide variety of British-grown fruit & veg at affordable prices. The stall was run by local resident Lesley Belgium on Fridays. Lesley has now finished trading after more than 2 years - but residents can still order weekly veg bags at The Mede via Buried Treasure. Experienced local gardener Mil Lusk is taking orders for vegetable seedlings to be grown in your garden or hanging baskets. Team FAB (Fight Against Bags)
Local lady Sue Dalton is heading up a campaign to rid Knowle West of plastic bags. Sue runs a weekly sewing circle at The Mede Community Centre on Wednesdays from 10am-midday. Green Medicine
Local gardener Akilah Nuru is giving each household in Knowle West the opportunity to have their own tailor-made living medicine cabinet in their house and garden, made up of plants that grow well in our climate.
